This week we had the pleasure of hosting the Honorable Lisa Thompson, and Hannah Anderson from the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs. It was great to connect at our Calgary office to discuss the challenges that legacy oil and gas infrastructure poses to rural development in the province of Ontario – but more importantly to discuss what can be done to proactively address these challenges.
We are encouraged by the open dialogue around opportunities for rural development in Ontario and look forward to working with teams to safely get shovels in the ground. Our team is purpose-built to locate and risk assess documented and undocumented legacy oil and gas infrastructure, remediate identified wells and pipelines, and assist in development design which eliminates risk of exposure in perpetuity.
Our interest in rural development work in Ontario stems from our direct experience managing emergencies caused by unexpected encounters with legacy wells. We aim to enhance health and safety on future sites and prevent schedule and budget overruns, which are entirely avoidable with proactive management.
The 360 EEC team is prepared to mitigate these risks and deliver effective solutions to support Ontario in shaping a better future.
