360 EEC Hosts Ontario Minister of Rural Affairs

This week 360 EEC hosted the Honorable Lisa Thompson, and Hannah Anderson from the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs. We discussed the challenges that legacy oil and gas infrastructure poses to rural development in the province of Ontario and what can be done to proactively address these challenges.

Further, we are encouraged by the opportunities for rural development in Ontario and look forward to working with teams to safely get shovels in the ground. Our team is purpose-built to locate and risk assess documented and undocumented legacy oil and gas infrastructure. By remediating identified wells and pipelines, and assisting in development design, we seek to eliminate risk of exposure in perpetuity.

Our interest in this work in Ontario stems from our experience managing emergencies caused by unexpected encounters with legacy wells. We enhance health and safety on sites preventing schedule and budget overruns, which are entirely avoidable with proactive management.

The 360 EEC team is prepared to deliver effective solutions to support the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs. This meeting was an important opportunity to discuss detection and remediation efforts in support of safe, efficient rural development.
