This past weekend, 360 EEC was honoured to sponsor and attend the 2025 Spirit of the Peace Competition Powwow, held at the Taylor District Ice Centre in Taylor, B.C.
Despite the rain, the arena was filled with powerful drumming, vibrant regalia, and an enduring sense of community. The event featured dance competitions across all age categories, artisan vendors, and a series of special tributes—including a heartfelt honouring of Mosom Frank Daniels, a respected Elder and cultural leader.
New this year, a single host drum group carried the heartbeat of the entire weekend. They led Grand Entry, accompanied dancers, and provided songs throughout the event. Grand Entry opened each session with a powerful procession led by Elders and flag bearers, as dancers entered the arena in full regalia to honour songs.
