360 recently held a full day of Detailed Site Assessment training for our environmental team.
We kicked off the day with a comprehensive classroom session, where we reviewed DSA planning, execution, and Record of Observation (RoO) completion. Then we headed out to an acreage in Rocky View County to put our knowledge to the test.
Separated into smaller groups, our team worked collaboratively to complete the field assessment from start to finish. We got our hands dirty with texture analysis, soil structure and landscape assessments, and sharpened our use of field guides for vegetation identification. We also trialed our new automated, digital RoO, that makes our team more efficient in the field!
Providing hands-on learning opportunities for our employees is one of the many ways 360 empowers and invests in our people. Thanks so much to our incredible team for making the day a huge success!
Public Infrastructure Project
During a public infrastructure construction project, an undocumented wellbore emitting methane and H₂S gas was discovered. 360 developed a detailed work plan to address the issue, including re-entry of the wellbore and installation of a cement plug to eliminate gas emissions. Our team successfully resolved the issue, ensuring the safety of the site and allowing construction to resume.
