We’re seeking someone with technical expertise to provide stewardship and regulatory guidance on reclamation site management, site assessment and techniques. The Senior Technical Advisor will play a significant role in coordinating the execution of reclamation for various oil and gas and facility projects and operational activities within B.C. Our ideal candidate will bring 10 years of experience in surface land reclamation.

Make a Difference

  • Provide oversight as a qualified professional for reclamation projects for industrial and oil and gas clients 
  • Mentor and train field staff (junior, intermediate and seniors), report authors and project managers
  • Provide technical input for various site assessments and projects involving wellsite, facilities, and pipeline surfaces
  • Provide reclamation direction for attaining Certificates of Restoration within the BC Energy Regulator framework
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, land owners, and third-party stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret collected information and review technical reports
  • Stay current with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure clients adhere to all applicable standards 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives, and SOP’s; update SOP’s as required


Utilize Your Education and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agrology, Conservation and Reclamation, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional land and/or environmental designation recognized in British Columbia.
  • 10+ years’ experience in environmental, site reclamation and/or field experience in related work.
  • Understanding of legislation and regulatory processes related to site closure within the BC Energy Regulator framework. 
  • Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills.
  • Effective management of activities requiring the use of environmental consultants or contractors
  • Good sense of humour and strong admiration of mullet culture is an asset
