We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented champion of continuous improvement to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will play a key part in supporting the safety and environmental compliance operations at 360.
As an Intermediate Health & Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining safety initiatives and compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting a culture of safety across all company operations. Make a Difference
- Maintain safety standards that meet or exceed 360 EHS regulations, including Canadian Provincial requirements (OSHA, MOE, and other local standards)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local environmental and safety regulations
- Track safety requirements and prepare reports/deliverables for clients and project teams
- Work with all departments and employees to reduce risk, improve safety culture, and identify critical risk controls
- Support environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance audits and program assessments
- Ensure effective contractor safety management, including periodic inspections and correction of violations
- Conduct risk assessments, site assessments and support management of change recommendations
- Provide support for investigations and root cause analysis for injuries, releases, regulatory deviations, near misses, and property damage
- Identify, recommend, and implement strategic improvements in the safety management system, ensuring alignment with change management principles
- Communicate daily with field staff and ensure documentation of client and 360-specific safety requirements
- Conduct regular safety observations for field and office staff, facilitating contractor onboarding and providing performance coaching to ensure compliance
- Travel to conduct safety assessments and provide on-site EHS support or attend off-site meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
- Assist in the development of training modules and support training supervisors on safety management system implementation
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of safety culture and EHS programs
- Coordinating and maintaining PPE inventory and purchasing
- Responsible for organizing and managing the ERP team
- Research on safety and/or training opportunities
- Responsible for the compilation and distribution of Corporate Health and safety policies, procedures, task hazard assessments, forms and other safety related materials
- Book third party safety training for 360 employees
- Other duties as assigned
Utilize Your Education and Expertise
- Technical diploma or Bachelors degree in Health, Safety, or a related discipline is an asset
- 3+ years of experience with EHS federal regulatory compliance, reporting, training, and tracking
- 3+ years of EHS experience specific to the province of Alberta (strongly preferred)
- Relevant experience in an EHS field, particularly in oil & gas safety and/or behavior-based safety programs
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures
- Proven track record of successfully collaborating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to implement EHS processes that drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and reduce risk
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and written communication abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Solid report and procedure writing skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience updating and maintaining accounts with Avetta, ISNetwold, and ComplyWorks
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with SiteDocs and Workhub administration considered an asset

- The employee must read, write, listen, speak, and understand English, follow instructions, inspect equipment, complete paperwork accurately, troubleshoot issues, and react quickly when needed. Strong organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective communication are essential
- The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to transfer job knowledge to others when necessary
- Self-direction, initiative, and persistence are expected, along with regional travel
- The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather, loud noise, and dust in site areas, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (provided as needed)
- Annual and/or random drug screening may be required by some clients
