We are looking for an enthusiastic Summer Intern to support our reclamation programs across northern Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of soil and plant identification, coupled with some knowledge of reclamation, contamination, and remediation processes.

Make a Difference
- Assist with vegetation management and participate in Detailed Site Assessments, including the evaluation of landscapes, soils, and vegetation
- Support the completion of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) under the guidance of senior team members
- Contribute to maintaining project schedules and budgets by assisting in administrative and technical tasks
- Participate in reclamation programs by providing field support and assisting with technical documentation
- Collaborate with the team on remediation and reclamation projects in Northern AB, including field data collection and reporting
- Assist in developing reclamation work plans and preparing drafts for reclamation reporting
- Support and promote a culture committed to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) excellence
- Assist in interpreting analytical results by organizing data and preparing summaries for review by senior scientists
Utilize Your Education and Expertise
- Currently enrolled in a science or land reclamation program at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Relevant coursework in soil and plant identification with knowledge of reclamation and contamination/remediation is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good sense of humour and strong admiration of mullet culture is an asset
